In May 2024, there was an average of 230 minutes of total identified viewing per day, slightly lower than in April at 243 minutes.

The monthly viewing summary includes the monthly reach and share of viewing for broadcaster groups and SVOD/AVOD services that account for more than 0.5% of total identified viewing.

Drama favourites pulled in viewers once again with Doctor Who and Eastenders on BBC One remaining popular alongside Coronation Street and Emmerdale on ITV1. The Gathering on Channel 4, plus The Tattooist Of Auschwitz and The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live on Sky.

Popular entertainment shows in May included the Eurovision Song Contest, Race Across the World and The Great British Sewing Bee on BBC One. Britain’s Got Talent won the top slot on ITV1, with Taskmaster, The Piano and Gogglebox goggled on Channel 4.

Sports scored with the FA Cup and Match on the Day on BBC One, alongside the Premier League on Sky. Hobbies and leisure programming bloomed with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr BBC One.

Over on the SVOD services, viewers tuned in for Clarkson’s Farm, Fallout and 99 on Prime Video. Bridgerton, Buying London and Baby Reindeer on Netflix. With 911, Lilo and Stitch proving popular alongside Bluey on Disney+. Star Trek Discovery and South Park on Paramount+ and Dark Matter on Apple TV+.
